The score is based on five key parameters:
 Appearance (skin color): This assesses the baby's skin color and complexion.
 Pulse (heart rate): This evaluates if the baby has a healthy heart.
 Grimace response (reflexes): This tests the baby's reflexes and responses to stimulation.
Activity (muscle tone): The baby’s activities are observed.
 Respiration (breathing rate and effort): The baby's breathing rate and effort are assessed.
