World Hepatitis Day!

Every year millions of lives are lost to hepatitis. Viral hepatitis is the commonest cause of hepatitis – namely Hepatitis B and C which cause the most damage to your liver.

Hepatitis B has a high prevalence in Tanzania at around 9%. However, there is insufficient awareness and testing. It is crucial to know your status so that prevention and treatment can be initiated in a timely manner to ensure the liver remains healthy as possible.
