Job Purpose
Ensure that the Project overall total cost is not exceeded with proper cost control and reporting in place, Support the Project Head/Director and the owner team to ensure KSC Financial standards are being adhered to during the execution of the project, Entrench a strong Governance and Control framework that meets KSC Financial standards for the project.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Consolidate the financial information for the project into in a year and monthly plan, budget and forecast to deliver to the overall project cost that has been budgeted for
- Manage the budget and track spend for the overall project
- Generate with the assistance of the Major Capital Administration Controller value added financial, cost reports and insights for the Owners Team, Management Committee, Project Steering Committee and other stakeholders to control and reduce project spend
- Develop the asset register and manage it for the K3.1 project
- Ensure the Governance and Control framework for the project is implemented
- Work closely with the Clearing agents in reviewing the imported goods supporting documents to ensure the correctness of declarations made and completeness of the imported goods supporting documents.
- Ensure controls are in place to retain documentation related to the project and as per KSC financial standards
- Follow up on payments to suppliers related to K3.1 project are made timely and in line with milestones.
- Preparation of timely and accurate periodic project reports for month end reporting, board reporting and external reporting
- Ensuring tax matters of the K3.1 project are in order, in collaboration with Tax Specialist
Job Qualification and Experience
- Degree in Accounting and Tax, preferably a professional Accounting qualification
- A minimum of 5+ years post-qualification experience in Accounting and Tax
- A minimum of 5+ years Finance Management experience
- Excellent communication skills at Senior Management level
- Previous project experience an added advantage
- Report writing skills, MS Office proficiency with the ability to develop Executive level presentations
Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Fixed Term Contract.
