Nyanza Cooperative Union 1984 LTD is a limited liability Secondary Cooperative Society with registration No. 4152 dated 21.04.1984. It is registered under the Co-operative Societies Act No 6 of 2013. The Union is owned by 253 registered Cooperative Primary Societies within Mwanza Region and is a member of the Tanzania Federation of Co-operatives Limited (TFC). NCU (1984) LTD is one of the largest Co-operative Unions in Tanzania.

Reports to: Board of Directors
Duties and Responsibilities:
Chief Executive Officer of NCU (1984) Ltd, overseeing all assets and activities in accordance with the Union’s policies and regulations.
Provide leadership, direction, and vision while ensuring high-quality services.
Manage day-to-day operations through subordinate departments and units.
Prepare work procedures for employees for Board approval.
Prepare and submit monthly financial statements, reports, and other required information to the Board.
Convene meetings in consultation with the Chairman.
Prepare and submit annual accounts for approval and auditing.
Maintain records of accounts, debt assets, and stock warrants for members.
Handle secretarial duties and confirm contracts and agreements.
Translate the Cooperative development policy into action plans.
Responsible for both internal and external communications.
Approve payments and ensure adherence to approved budgets and regulations.
Desired Attributes:
Adaptability, confidentiality, ethical standards, innovative, excellent analytical skills, and fluency in English and Kiswahili.
Bachelor’s Degree in Cooperative Management, Economics, Public Administration, Agribusiness, Finance, or related fields.
Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
Minimum three (3) years of work experience, with at least two (2) years in a managerial position.
